Pre-show for: Incredible Animal Athletes with Ecologist Lucy Hawkes. Doors open at 4:30pm; workshop begins at 5:00pm Though guided prompts, individual writing, and optional sharing, participants explore themes of wonder, memory, belonging, and connection. The program welcomes a range of expression, from short journaling reflections to lyrical writing, and is designed to be accessible to audiences regardless of prior writing experience. The evening's National Geographic speaker will stop by to say hello! Teaching Artist: Tamara Nowlin, local author, poet, and Artist incubator alumni. Start your Nat Geo evening with your own creative expedition! Creators Club offers a hands-on creative experience before each National Geographic Speaker Series program, inspired by the evening?s theme. Each workshop includes a glass of wine, and every session features a special hello from that night?s National Geographic speaker. All experience levels welcome. Every year, billions of animals migrate in search of food, water, or a mate. We go on assignment with ecologist and National Geographic Explorer Lucy Hawkes as she investigates some of the most astonishing stories of animal perseverance. Along the way, meet the unexpected mammals, fish, and birds that qualify as the most incredible animal athletes, and trace their massive migrations across the globe. Everyone entering the theatre must have a paid ticket regardless of age or seating requirements. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
