Pre-show for: Social by Nature with Photographer Ronan Donovan. Doors open at 4:30pm; workshop begins at 5:00pm. Paint along with Rima Muna in a live, guided painting experience while enjoying pastries themed to the evening's program. A sweet way to start your night. The evening's National Geographic speaker will stop by to say hello! Teaching artist: Rima Muna, local abstract artist and TOArts Artist Incubator Fellow. Start your Nat Geo evening with your own creative expedition! Creators Club offers a hands-on creative experience before each National Geographic Speaker Series program, inspired by the evening's theme. Each workshop includes a glass of wine, and every session features a special hello from that night's National Geographic speaker. All experience levels welcome. We are, at our core, social mammals. We build relationships, communicate, reproduce, establish territories, and adapt to shrinking resources. In these ways, we're no different than other social mammals. Chimpanzees, wolves, gorillas, and bears are among the most charismatic of the social mammals we know. We identify with them as species, groups, and even as named individuals. Join biologist-turned-photographer Ronan Donovan as he talks about his work in documenting these animals and what we, as fellow social mammals, can learn from them. Everyone entering the theatre must have a paid ticket regardless of age or seating requirements. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

ALL AGES ADMITTED. This event is open to all ages and everyone will need a ticket to be admitted. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult over the age of 25 with written authorization. We do not recommend bringing little ones to the venue and require those under the age of 7 to have appropriate hearing protection. We do not have infant changing facilities within the venue.
